Friday night found us at Orange Lake Baptist Church in Orange Lake where 22 teams and their families got to be fed both physically and spiritually! Our very own Jesse Cardwell and his wife treated the division to an amazing pulled pork BBQ, baked beans, and Mac-n-Cheese! Bellies were filled while the Associate Pastor of Orange Lake Baptist Church, Pastor Chris Moeller filled the division with the Word of God! The Holy Spirit moved freely among us and realigned our focus on Him and Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The anglers left filled to the full and departed to their rooms to prepare for the next morning.

On Saturday, a cool 55 degrees kicked off stop #2 of the season with 22 teams vieing for the top spot. Weather would reach to a calm 80 degrees on the water and little wind for the anglers to contend with, God was good to us today! 17 teams brought fish to the scales to end the day at 3pm, with the top prize going to Chris Keith and Ben Dowling with a five fish limit weighing in at 17.03 pounds. Their big fish of the day, even at 8.57 pounds couldn't hold off the big fish of the day! Second place honors went to the solo team of Dave Austin with a weight of 14.97 with a kicker fish of 7.16. Third place honors went to another solo angler. Jesse Cardwell brought 14.41 pounds to the scales with the big bass of the day honors at 8.91 pounds and currently has big fish of the season honors, lets see if it holds up! Fourth place credits went to the team of Tony Davis and Cody Davis with a evenly distributed weight of 11.75 pounds. The duo were also the early bird recipients award.  The top three anglers also took home the top three bonus buck prizes for the day. To wrap up the winnings, the team of Robert Warwick and Brian Warwick took home the Tiny Bag award with their giant 1.00 pound fish! We ended the day thanking God, our local and national ministry partners, and each member of the division for their support and dedication to sharing the gospel to all who will hear. After a cleanup of our area we departed for the day to get ready for stop #3.... Lake Santa Fe! We look forward to our next gathering and pray for the division and Fishers of Men over all to Grow More in '24. Thank you God for all you do for us and all you created for us.
