LAKE- Russell

38 Boats competed in the 3rd of 5 SC Upstate Divisional events on Lake Russell, 3/23/2024.

Our host was awesome!!  ROCK BRANCH Baptist knows how to treat the anglers!   We had a great meal and good fellowship as we gathered with fellow anglers.

Marty Robinson visited with us, and shared a word of encouragement.  One thing he said really stuck out to me, which was that "he doesn't regret chasing his dream of Bass fishing".  He learned when in middle school that he had a passion for the sport, and from that time never turned back.  In addition to that, he also made the decision to follow Christ when he was 12 years old.  He encouraged us to be "part" of a church, and not just pass by casually.  Do YOU have a church home?

Pastor Kevin reminded us of what Christ did for us on the cross, and how other fisherman like Peter were "called" to be FISHERS OF MEN.  Have YOU surrendered to christ?  Have you responded to his call to follow Him?  We would love the opportunity to talk with you more about what it means to KNOW Christ.

Saturday turned out to be a great day, afte the rain moved through on Friday night.  Anglers got to enjoy moderate temperatures and an overcst day for the majority of the day, until late when the wind really picked up.  

Congratulations to JASON BURROUGHS and DARREN ASHLEY on the win today with 18.8 lbs.

Also, Congrats to MICKEY LUSK and MICHAEL SMITH on the BIG FISH today;  5.91 lbs
