Jordan and Smith win a tough one on Fort Loudoun.

Story by Steve Jennings

Friday Night Meeting was at Kingston Pike Baptist Church.  The ladies of the church provided a great meal of home cooked chicken with plenty of side, and we must forget the great desserts. After, everyone had eaten, Chris Boruff delivered a great message that made everyone do a review of their life, and we had one rededication to the Lord.

Saturday morning the Fishers of Men gang awoke to partly cloudy skies 34-degree air temperature, and high winds as the day processed.  By weigh-in time the temperatures had climbed to 60 degrees.

First place went to White Pine Pro Team of Brian Jordan and Michael Smith who came to the scales with a limit of bass weighing in at 15.5 pounds, which also included the lunker of the tournament, a beautiful 5.19 a -pound bass. This talented team reported running their White Pine Marine Mercury Powered Bass Boat all around the lake to catch his fish on a spninerbait, they fished shallow all day long.  This team is sponsored by Mercury, Dixie Custom Baits, Tote Rite and White Pine Marine.

Second place went to the newly formed team of Buddy Dean and Larry Reid. Fishing in only their second Fishers of Men tournament this team came to the scales with three fish weighing in at 9.46 pounds.  Larry reported running to the river to catch their fish shallow around wood.

Third place went to the seasoned team of Rod Garrett and Paul Rogers with 8.50 pounds of bass. Rod reported as normal they used a jig to catch their fish in water less than 5 feet deep all day.
