The first tournament of the 2024 season is in the books.

The 1st Smith Mountain Lake Tournament of the year started with a great Friday night meetin at Palistine Baptist Church. The smoked pork they cooked was the best! Everything they made was great and they treat us like family every time we are there.

The message was brought by Pastor Touchstone and was about how the Gospel changes our lives when we accept it. Thanks Pastor!

We Had a great tournout for the first tournament of the year. The morning started cold and breezy at Blast off and turned really windy and cold as mid day came but it didnt cool down the fishing as every team that was in the money had 20+ bags!

At the end of the day the team of Chad Green and Johnny Martin brought home the biggest bag of 25.37! Congratulations on a great bag.

In 2nd was the team of Taft Durr and Jon Simmons with a good bag of 22.80

In 3rd was the team of Matt and Cristopher Atkins with 20.86

4th was the team of Billy Kohls  and Landon Siggers with 20.78

In 5th with 20.60 as well as the big fish of 6.62 was the team of  Robert Mills and Charlie Davis.

In 6th was the team of John Breeding and Ricky Bomer with 20.58

In 7th was the team of Ricky Grant and Greg Stallings with 20.44

Jus out of the money and taking home a pair of new rods was the team of Ralph and Justin Hicks with 20.23.

The next tournament is at Buggs on March 23rd.
